It’s officially summer! I love incorporating lots of greenery into my home décor during this season. I also like to keep the décor very simple with minimal clutter so my home doesn’t feel congested. I came up with 3 easy diy summer décor pieces using dollar store products!

To create these 3 dollar store summer décor pieces I used a combination of items that can be found in most dollar stores along with a few upcycled items I had in my craft stash.
Dollar Store items purchased:
- Round plastic serving tray
- Wall decal
- Alphabet poster stickers
- Faux onion grass
- 3 pack of mini clay pots
Other supplies on hand:
- black spray paint
- cotton clothesline
- empty coffee can
- black yarn
- black and white chalk paint
- floral foam
- 3 faux succulents
- reindeer moss

Project 1: Rustic floral wall decor
This simple wall décor piece took me about 5 minutes to put together (not including spray paint dry time of course)! I used a round plastic serving tray, which was originally silver, and added this beautiful succulent and floral print wall decal. I then layered the word bloom on top, using the alphabet letter stickers, and added detail with a piece of burlap trim I had.
Project 2: Boho inspired planter
I think this is definitely my favorite of the 3! I simply wrapped the cotton clothesline rope around the coffee can and secured it with hot glue. I made the little black tassels out of the black yarn and attached those using hot glue as well. The greenery is just sitting in the container. I used about seven bunches of the onion grass so that I didn’t need to secure it with floral foam. This tabletop décor piece not only works perfect for summer, but I can change out the greenery each season to fit my theme!
Project 3: Tiered mini succulent planter
This mini planter was inspired by Pinterest of course! I’ve come across soo many outdoor tiered planters that look amazing, so I thought it would be fun to create a mini version. I am drawn to geometric shapes these days and I think the painted designs are fun and make the terra cotta color really stand out!
These are put together using a wooden skewer, which is inserted through the bottom drainage hole of each pot. There is a piece of floral foam in each pot covered with reindeer moss. Each faux succulent in secured with hot glue.
I’d love to know how you refresh your home for the summer season! I’m definitely enjoying the rustic and boho vibes of these 3 pieces!
